- Take a ferry to paradise - A bridge connects Grande-Terre and Basse-Terre but visitors can also visit Guadeloupe's other islands.
- Buy yourself a present - Market vendors feature madras headwraps and dolls, hand-woven items of straw, species and then local stores sell French perfume and clothes.
